Skip bins for Elanora homes.
Elanora is a suburb of houses. At the 2021 Census close to four in five homes were separate houses, townhouses made up most of the rest, and apartments were rare. Tallebudgera Creek forms the north-western edge, the Pacific Motorway runs down the east, and Guineas Creek Road and Simpsons Road close off the south-east. The Pines Shopping Centre, the state high school on Nineteenth Avenue and the primary school on K P McGrath Drive are handy landmarks.
Driveways, courts and townhouse complexes
On a house block, the driveway is normally the simplest spot for a skip, and it keeps you inside your boundary. Living on a court or cul-de-sac? Leave the turning circle clear and give the neighbours a heads-up about delivery day. Townhouse complexes usually have body corporate by-laws covering common property, so check the rules before a bin lands in a shared driveway or visitor space.
Typical jobs in an established family suburb
Think garage and shed clear-outs, a new kitchen or ensuite, backyard makeovers, fence replacements and downsizing before a sale. Prunings, weeds, bark and lawn clippings belong in a Green Waste bin. Old furniture, toys and boxes suit General Household, while renovation offcuts go in General Builders. Digging out a garden bed or pool surround in Elanora? Dirt is limited to a 4m bin.
Do you need a permit in Elanora?
Not while the skip stays inside your property line. Put it on the road, footpath or nature strip and a City of Gold Coast permit applies. You're the one who arranges that permit and carries full responsibility for it, because BOSH doesn't apply for permits on customers' behalf.
Pick your size.
3m³ skip bin
Weekend clean-ups, small bathroom or kitchen renos.
4m³ skip bin
Most popular all-rounder. Suits heavy waste like dirt and brick.
6m³ skip bin
Large house clear-outs and bigger renovation jobs.
Good to know.
How quickly can you deliver a skip bin to Elanora?
Book at least 36 hours ahead and we deliver to Elanora 4221 on your chosen date, with an AM or PM preference. Book before midday for next-day delivery to Elanora.
Do I need a council permit for a skip bin in Elanora?
Not if the bin stays on your own property in Elanora. If it needs to go on the road, footpath or nature strip, a City of Gold Coast permit applies. You'll need to arrange it, and it's your responsibility.
What size skip bin do I need in Elanora?
For a garage, shed or spare-room clear-out, a 3m or 4m skip is a sensible starting point. A kitchen or bathroom renovation in a family home generally needs a 6m, and a whole-house reno or big yard overhaul may call for a 9m. Choose a Green Waste bin for garden prunings. Soil can't go in anything bigger than a 4m, nor concrete in anything over a 6m, so call 1800 462 674 if a heavy load needs splitting.
Can I put the skip on the grass verge outside my Elanora home?
The grass verge, or nature strip, is council land, so a bin there needs a City of Gold Coast permit that you arrange and are responsible for. Your own driveway or front yard is inside the boundary and needs no permit.
