Skip bin questions, answered.
Delivery times, hire periods, permits, weight limits and what you can't put in a bin.
How soon can I get a skip bin on the Gold Coast?
Book at least 36 hours ahead and we deliver on your chosen date, with an AM or PM preference. Book before midday for next-day delivery.
How long can I keep the bin?
Standard hire is 14 days (2 weeks), included in the price. Need longer? Tell us at booking or before pickup and we'll extend it.
What can't go in a skip bin?
Asbestos, tyres and batteries are banned from every bin, along with gas bottles, liquids, wet paint and cement, food waste, polystyrene and chemicals.
Do I need a council permit for a skip bin?
Not if the bin sits on your own property. If it goes on the road, footpath or nature strip, a City of Gold Coast permit applies. You'll need to arrange it, and it's your responsibility.
What about heavy waste like soil and concrete?
Heavy loads have weight-based caps: concrete and masonry max 6m³, soil and dirt max 4m³, and no soil at all in bins 6m³ and over. Need more than that? Call us and we'll split the load across bins.
What happens if I cancel?
A $50 cancellation fee applies to orders cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery. Outside that window there's no charge.
Is there a weight limit on skip bins?
Yes. Mixed general waste includes 150kg/m3 and green waste is limited to 500kg/m3. Concrete is capped at a 6m3 bin and soil at 4m3, and bins 6m3 and over cannot take sand, soil or dirt. Bins must not be filled above the fill line.
Which Gold Coast suburbs do you deliver to?
We deliver across the Gold Coast from Ormeau and Coomera in the north to Coolangatta on the border, plus hinterland areas like Nerang and Mudgeeraba.
